A Cape Girardeau restaurant has a new name and a new owner.
The Fisherman's Ketch, formerly Fisherman's Net, was recently purchased by Cape Girardeau businessman Larry L. Haertling.
"We'll provide the same good service," said Haertling.
Terry Darcy, who has 15 years in the restaurant business, is manager of the restaurant, located at 2123 Broadway.
"We feature fresh daily pond-raised channel catfish, along with baked Cajun garlic butter and blackened fish," said Darcy. "We also have fresh seafood."
Also on the menu is prime rib and crab legs.
The restaurant has been completely redecorated, and is open seven days a week.
The Fishermen's Net was opened at the location in 1988, by Rick and Marilyn Williams, who were partners with Mrs. Williams' parents, Bayless and Mary Taylor. Haertling purchased the business from the Taylor-Williams family.
