Andrea Flint has joined the U.S. Army and will report for duty on June 5.
She has received a guarantee to train in automated logistics, said her recruiter, Staff Sgt. Mario Butel of the Army Recruiting Station at 1307 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. Flint will become an automated logistics specialist.
After graduating from Jackson High School this spring, Flint will take her basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina and her individual training at Fort Lee in Virginia.
She is the daughter of Randy and Evalyn Armes of Jackson.
People can call Butel at (573) 335-9051 about the Army's Delayed Entry Program where a recruit can take up to a year before beginning active duty.
He also has information on cash bonuses, skill training, educational aid and travel options the Army offers.
