The Youth Praise Band Festival will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Capaha Park Band Shell. The event will feature bands from area churches and is sponsored by Lynwood Baptist Church. Guests should bring lawn chairs.

Impact 2002 youth rally from 6 to 10 p.m. at Cairo, Ill., Baptist Church in the Larry Potts Activity Center. The praise and worship band of First Baptist Church in Charleston, Mo., will perform. Featured speaker is Christopher Jackson, a 1993 Cairo High School graduate who now performs in Disney's "The Lion King." For information, call (618) 734-0319.

Sunday

The Rev. Paul Russell of Nashville, Tenn., will speak at 10:30 a.m. at Abundant Life Church. He is chairman of Global Christian Ministries and oversees national and international missionary programs.

R.L. Robinson of Scott City, Mo., will be the guest speaker for the 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. services at Fellowship Baptist Church.

Annual "Third Sunday in May" service will be at 11 a.m. at Apple Creek Presbyterian Church near Pocahontas, Mo. Speaker will be Jonell McNeely, a lay pastor. A basket dinner will follow the service.

Father's Arms Fellowship in Scott City, Mo., will hold a revival meeting at 7 p.m. Evening meetings will continue through June 2.

Pentecost Sunday service at 2 p.m. at Calvary United Pentecost Church in Jackson, Mo. Speaker is the Rev. John Hudson with special music by the Greater Dimension Church Choir.

Evening praise service at 6 p.m. at Hanover Lutheran Church with the New Creations Choir from Mid-America Teen Challenge.

Monday

Young at Hearts meet at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in the lower auditorium for a covered-dish meal. Speaker will be Frank Nickell, director of the Center for Regional History. He will talk about barns.

Tuesday

United Methodist Women's Circles at Centenary Church meet. Susanna Wesley Circle meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Limbaugh Parlor. Dr. C. John and Marcia Ritter will speak about Honduras. The Wimodausis Circle will meet at 2 p.m. at Chateau Girardeau.

Third Street United Methodist Women will meet at 1 p.m. at Dee Jenkins' home. Rosely Bechel will present a program and Martha Bollinger will give a devotion. Pastor Janet Hopkins will provide music.

Grace United Methodist Women will meet. The Caldwell Circle will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Fay McLaird's home. The Statler Circle will meet at the home of Mary Jane Statler. The Sander Circle will meet at noon at the church. The Circle of Hope will meet at 6 p.m. at the church.
