Barks Chapel sets Memorial Day service
CRUMP, Mo. -- Barks Chapel will hold a Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. May 26 with the Rev. Jim Fulbright. Lunch will be served after the service.
Nightly revival meetings to begin
Father's Arms Fellowship in Scott City, Mo., will hold nightly revival meetings beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday and continuing through June 2.
Jackson student to travel overseas
Rachael Inman of Jackson, Mo., is among more than 30 students from Ouachita Baptist University who will travel overseas this summer. Four of the five student groups will be working on campus ministries programs. Another is part of an academic study program.
The students will visit Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Namibia, Africa and Europe.
Inman will be part of the team hosting an English camp for Russian college students. The group will teach conversational English and share Christian beliefs and Western culture.
Religious music group seeks nominees
The National Religious Music Alliance is seeking nominations for the nations finest religious music directors. Twenty awards will be presented in the fall.
"Our aim is to recognize outstanding musicians for exemplary work in developing religious music programs within their places of worship," said Kevin Samblanet, awards chairman. "By focusing on the accomplishments of these men and women, we want to encourage and support the work of all music directors, choir directors and ministers of worship throughout the country."
Churches, synagogues and other places of worship, large and small, are urged to nominate their music leaders for these awards. The judging will be based on program growth and development, community outreach, broad appeal, and enhancement of the worship experience.

Any individual or group may submit a nomination for the Ministry of Music Awards. Each entry costs $15. Nominations will be accepted through July 15.
New pastor at Scott City church
Keith Green is the new pastor at Clearview Baptist Church in Scott City, Mo.
Green began his post May 4 and currently commutes from O'Fallon, Mo.
