Twelfth Night party planned by church
First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau will host a 12th night party at 4 p.m. Jan. 5. Youth from Christ Episcopal Church have been invited to attend.
Jackson grad gives talk on sexual abstinence
Kelly Shields, Miss Missouri American Coed for 2001, recently spoke to youth at Covenant Christian Center in Jackson.
Shields is a member of the church and attends Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla.
She spoke to young girls about abstinence. She wants to encourage youth to refrain from having sex until marriage.
First Tuesday Noon Worship goes to library
The First Tuesday Noon Worship of 2003 will be held at noon Jan. 7 in the Community Room at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Host pastor is Dan Runkle of Grace Bible Church.
