La Croix UMC releases new CD of church music

La Croix United Methodist Church's music ministry announces the release of its first recording project. Copies of the new CD, "The Music of La Croix Church," will be on sale beginning today.

Circle meets for gift exchange, Bible study

The First Presbyterian Church of Jackson's Perdue-Lear Circle will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a Christmas gift exchange and Bible study. Jonell McNeely has the lesson.

Christmas celebration for Third Street UM Women

Third Street United Methodist Women will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church for their Christmas celebration. Pastor Janet Hopkins will have the program. Everyone should bring a dessert or a finger food.

Christ Episcopal church is ready for its Christmas feast

On Christmas Day Christ Episcopal Church will hold its annual Christmas feast at 5:30 p.m. The church will provide the roast meat, vegetables and side dishes. The women who are in treatment at the Family Counseling Center will furnish desserts, corn bread and rolls. Church members and those who come to the church through the year for recovery or 12-step meetings are invited to the feast. Dinner will be served at 6:30.
