New pastor at Berean Baptist Church

Marvin Wormington is the new interim pastor at Berean Baptist Church, located on Route 25 between Gordonville and Jackson.

Week of Christian unity planned at Emmanuel

The Jackson Ministerial Alliance will hold a devotional service each morning from Jan. 17 to 21. The service will be at 7 a.m. at Emmanuel United Church of Christ. Each day, a different pastor will lead the devotion. A light breakfast will be served. A community service is planned for 2 p.m. Jan. 23 at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Ann Mowery, pastor of Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville, will speak at that service.

Join the revolution for a youth revival

Christ Church of the Heartland will host the "Freedom Fighter" youth revolution for a special service Jan. 23, 24 and 25. The services will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Speaker is Jonathan McNeely. For information, call the church at 334-7726.

Revival at Greater Dimension Church

Greater Dimension Church of God in Christ will hold a revival for three days beginning Wednesday. Prayer begins at 7 p.m., with the service at 7:30 p.m. The theme is "Contending for the Faith."

La Croix Church plans seminar about teens

La Croix Church will present a seminar Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon on "understanding your teenager." The instructor is Mark DeVries, a veteran youth worker. For information, contact the church at 339-0302.

Susanna Wesley Circle at Centenary United Methodist Church meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Limbaugh parlor at the church. Janice Nunnellee will give a program on pledge service. The Wimodausis Circle meets at 1:30 p.m. in the parlor, with a similar program by Alice Lewis.

Forerunners luncheon for senior adults will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall at Lynwood Baptist Church. The program will be led by Linda Kaiser. Soup and chili will be provided.

Friday

"Coffee, tea and me" fellowship at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Lynwood Baptist Church. Grace Parry, owner of Grace Cafe, will speak about friendships. The church also will share its women's ministry plans for the year. For information, call the office at 334-4600.
