Kidz Blitz set for Mount Auburn Christian Church
Mount Auburn Christian Church will host a "Kidz Blitz" program from 9 to 11:45 a.m. July 28 to 30. The theme is "SCUBA: Super Cool Undersea Bible Adventure" and is open to children age 4 through sixth grade.

Hanover Lutheran schedules VBS
Hanover Lutheran Church will hold its vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. July 14 to 18.
The theme for the week is "Son Harvest," based on a county fair where children will learn the fruits of the spirit. The VBS is open to children nursery age through seventh grade.

Musical planned Sunday at East Cape church
The choir of East Cape Baptist Church in East Cape Girardeau, Ill., will present the musical "In God We Trust" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday during the morning worship service.
Friendship Day scheduled at St. Andrew
St. Andrew Lutheran Church will observe Friendship Day July 13. Church members are asked to invite friends as guests for the 8, 9:15 or 10:30 a.m. worship services.
New five-week class to begin in July
Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville will begin a new five-week class, "What United Methodists Believe," this month.
The class will be offered on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. The classes begin July 17 and July 20, respectively.

Installation for new district superintendent
The Rev. Dr. Steve Breon, the new district superintendent for the Southeast region of the United Methodist Church in Missouri, will be installed at 6 p.m. July 13 at First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. He previously served as pastor in Joplin, Mo.
Westminster Church to hold VBS this month
Area children are invited to a "Kindness Country Fair" July 13 to 17 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The vacation Bible school will include crafts and games and will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. Special events on the final night include a pie-throwing contest and farm animals.

Former Cape pastor leads new church
Jimmy Randle, a former Cape Girardeau pastor, now leads Liberty Pentecostal Community Church in Charleston, Mo. Worship services begins Sunday at 4 p.m.
Randle previously served a church by the same name in Cape Girardeau. He held that post for seven years before moving to Charleston.
He also worked for 23 years at Procter & Gamble.
CROP sale, luncheon planned for July 25
Church Women United is planning its annual CROP sale and luncheon July 25.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Service time changes at First Christian Church
First Christian Church will begin a new worship schedule Sunday. Sunday school will be at 9:15 a.m., a fellowship at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m.
Gospel concert to be held at Fruitland church
Wesley United Methodist Church in Fruitland will play host to The Singing C's from Camden, Tenn., for a concert at 10:15 a.m. July 13.
The service will be followed by a hot dog lunch and ice cream social. The group will sing again at 1 p.m.
