SIKESTON, Mo. -- Holly Rehder and Bart Ziegenhorn will face off in November to represent parts of Scott and Mississippi counties in the state legislature.

Rehder won the Republican nomination and Ziegenhorn won the Democratic nomination for the 148th District House of Representatives seat, which includes Sikeston.

Rehder, a former staffer for Rep. Jo Ann Emerson and a small business owner, defeated Josh Bill, former Sikeston mayor and staffer for Emerson's late husband Bill Emerson. Rehder received 2,330 votes to Bill's 1,472.

Ziegenhorn, son of Scott County Commissioner Dennis Ziegenhorn, beat Mike Marsh, a retired educator. Ziegenhorn received 1,493 votes to Marsh's 860.
