Registration deadline is Tuesday for mud volleyball

Deadline for team registration for the July 4 mud volleyball tournament in Jackson is 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The tournament will be at 8 a.m. July 4 at Shelter No. 1 in Jackson City Park.

Sponsored by the City of Jackson Independence Day Celebration Committee, the tournament is a double-elimination co-ed contest with up to 50 teams competing for cash prizes; there is a $200 entry fee per team.

Participants must be at least 18 years old or 2014 high school graduates to compete. Entry fees support the Jackson Lady Indians Volleyball Program and the Independence Day fireworks display.
