Cape shooting now considered accidental
Cape Girardeau police said a shooting reported Saturday was a false report. The victim told police someone shot him while he was in a vehicle. The shooting was reclassified as accidental when the 18-year-old's claims were found to be false.
Jackson man accused of statutory rape, sodomy
Clint E. Uelsmann, 32, of Jackson was arrested Wednesday by Cape Girardeau County deputies and charged with five counts of second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy. He is currently being held in the Cape Girardeau County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
