When the Red House Interpretive Center staff scheduled the site's first-ever festival focusing on historic arts and crafts, they didn't realize the event would be competing with the Arts Council's annual arts festival, ArtsCape. Both events will be happening Saturday, ArtsCape at Capaha Park and the Mayfest Historic Arts and Crafts Festival at the Red House; both at nearly identical times, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for ArtsCape, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Mayfest.
