Red Cross officials said even though the Persian Gulf war has ended, blood donations are still needed. "The donor response during the crisis was fantastic, but this is an ongoing need. The American Red Cross Blood Services hope those who responded during the crisis will become regular donors," said Dave Palmer with the Red Cross.

Anyone who is 17 years or older and meets the requirements is asked to donate. Blood Type O is always needed.
