CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Trinity Lutheran School of Cape Girardeau has received a $500 grant from Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) to promote literary efforts.
The grant is part of a one-time, $1 million grant program announced by AAL to benefit the nation's more than 1,600 elementary and secondary schools.
The funds can be used for various literacy projects, including faculty training to enhance existing or new literacy programs, planning programs for families and parents, conducting activities that will link the school with an existing community literacy programs.
