Allen Schaper of Mercantile Bank of Cape Girardeau recently received a diploma from the graduate School of Banking at Madison, Wis.
Richard A. Kirk, President of the American Bankers Association, Chairman of the Board, United Bank of Denver and Vice Chairman, United Banks of Colorado, Inc., Denver, Colo., was the commencement speaker.
Schaper completed the instruction in the school by completing three, two-week, summer sessions, along with extension, and home study work, including comprehensive banking problems to be completed in the period between summer resident sessions.
The School is presented by the 17 state bankers associations comprising the Central States Conference of Bankers Associations, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Schaper, executive vice president at the local Mercantile Bank, has been with Cape Mercantile since October of 1988. He has 15 years' experience in lending, and 10 years' banking experience.
