REAL ESTATE UPDATE: COLDWELL BANKER BLANCHARD EXPANDS

Coldwell Banker Blanchard & Associates Inc. has expanded.

"We've entered into an agreement with Vernon Strack and Brenda Shirley, owners of Strack Real Estate, Jackson, to merge the Strack staff into Coldwell Banker," said Carl Blanchard.

"This will increase the Coldwell Banker Blanchard & Associates Inc. staff to a total of 25 licensed people," added Blanchard.

Under the agreement, Shirley will become the designated broker of Coldwell Banker's Jackson office.

"We now have seven licensed realtors at the Jackson office," said Blanchard. "All of them are from the Jackson area."

The Jackson office opened at 2836 Highway 61 in January of this year.

"We have listed over 220 listings since we opened," said Blanchard. "We are very pleased with that."

With 17 licensed realtors at the Cape Girardeau Coldwell Bankers office, 320 N. Kingshighway, the firm is one of the largest in the market area.

Blanchard opened a realty firm in Cape Girardeau in 1986, and joined with Coldwell Banker in 1988. Coldwell Banker has been in the area since 1981.
