CAPE GIRARDEAU -- An introduction to the Reading Recovery program, planned to begin in the Cape Girardeau public schools next fall, will be presented March 23.
Dr. Marlene Miller and a colleague from Ohio State University will present information about the program.
Miller, who is a Southeast Missouri State University faculty member, will be training teachers locally in the reading recovery program. She has been attending Ohio State University to learn the reading recovery method of catching and correcting early reading problems in students.
The program begins at 9 a.m. with a program from 9:30-11 a.m., followed by a lunch at 11:45 a.m.

The workshop is sponsored by Southeast Missouri State's department of reading teachers, Southeast Missouri Council of International Reading Association, Cape Girardeau public schools and the Missouri Defusion Network.
