RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS: POTATOES THE BEST MOTHER'S DAY PRESENT

Vicki Connell says a sack of potatoes is one of the best Mother's Day gifts she ever received. Saturday, her 6-year-old granddaughter, Bethany, was driving from Illinois with her parents to visit her "Noni."

Because they were thirsty, the stopped at a small store they knew and Bethany was allowed to pay for a bottle of water they purchased.

When Bethany learned that a free sack of potatoes came with each bottle of water, she demanded that her mother get another bottle of water so she could give some potatoes to her Noni.

When Vicki Connell arrived home she found on her table a bag of potatoes and a carefully printed Post-it: "Two Noni Happy Mothers Day."
