PULASKI, Ill. -- An old fashioned horse and mule pull will be one of the grandstand events at the Pulaski County Fair, which will be held here the week of Aug. 12-17.
The horse and mule pull will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Monday will be entry day at the fair, with exhibits being registered for judging.
A "local" demolition derby, limited to Pulaski and Alexander residents only, will be held at 8 p.m. Monday night, with $1,000 in prize money.
Other grandstand events include the I.T.P.A. Tractor Pull Thursday night, a western horse shoe Friday night, and the 4x4 mud race Saturday.

The fair will actually open Sunday, with a gospel singing and community worship service in the grandstand, which is free to the public. The singing will start at 5:30 p.m., featuring the Gloryroad Travelers from Pulaski, the New Harmony Singers from Olmsted, and the New LIfe Singers of Tamms.
The worship service will start at 7 p.m. featuring the Rev. William Singleton, pastor of Edward Chapel Church of Pulaski.
Judging of exhibits at the fair starts Tuesday, with livestock exhibits to be judged Wednesday.
