INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) -- The ashes of Margaret Truman Daniel, the only child of President Harry S. Truman, will be interred Feb. 23 next to her parents at the Truman Presidential Library.

Daniel died Jan. 29 in Chicago at age 83.

Amy Williams, deputy director for the library, said the family will hold a small, private funeral and then hold a public memorial service.

Daniel's ashes will be buried along with those of her husband, E. Clifton Daniel. He died in 2000 and his ashes have been kept in the family home in New York, Williams said.
