Public hearings set for Jackson aldermen meeting

Three public hearings are set for today’s Jackson Board of Aldermen meeting at 6 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall, 101 Court St. The public is invited to attend, and comments are welcome.

• A special-use permit request for two oversized, attached signs at Dexter Bar-B-Que’s future location, 2305 E. Jackson Blvd., as submitted by SNL LLC.
• An amendment to Chapter 65, zoning, in the code of ordinances, regarding clarification of code wording for text amendments.
• Consider calling an election April 2, relative to the imposition of a use tax.
