The Department of Psychology at Southeast Missouri State University recently announced the establishment of the Paul J. Lloyd Endowed Psychology Scholarship through the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.
Paul and Karen Lloyd of Cape Girardeau gave $10,000 to create the award.
The scholarship will be awarded to a graduate or undergraduate student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University with a minimum 3.0 GPA. First preference will be given to any undergraduate or graduate student with demonstrated interest in consulting psychology, positive psychology or the teaching of psychology at the college level.
Paul Lloyd, a professor of psychology at Southeast, plans to retire July 1 after 40 years at the university.
