Prosecuting attorney Limbaugh speaking at Republican club session

The SEMO Pachyderms will host Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Limbaugh at 7 p.m. today at Dexter Bar-B-Que, 236 S. Broadview St., in Cape Girardeau.

Limbaugh, who in December was appointed to fill Morley Swingle's vacated prosecuting attorney position, is the third generation of his family to hold the post.

Limbaugh is a cousin of popular conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh. Before his appointment, Limbaugh practiced law with The Limbaugh Firm in Cape Girardeau, and he obtained his degree from the University of Missouri School of Law and undergraduate degrees from Southern Methodist University. Limbaugh also serves on the advisory board for the local chapter of the Salvation Army.
