Proposition B, the concealed-weapons measure on the April 6 ballot, will be debated Wednesday at Southeast Missouri State University.

The debate will be held during the Common Hour from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Robert A. Dempster Hall's Glenn Auditorium.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Price will make a 15-minute presentation in opposition to the measure. That will be followed by a 15-minute rebuttal from Greg Jeffery of Missourians Against Crime, who will speak in favor of the measure.

Following their presentations, a panel of Southeast political science professors will question Price and Jeffery. The panelists will be Dr. Russell Renka, Dr. Rick Althaus and Dr. Peter Bergerson, who chairs the political science department and will serve as moderator.

Questions from the audience also will be taken.
