Ronald Jay Hopkins has been promoted vice president of loans at Commerce Bank in Cape Girardeau.

Hopkins joined Commerce Bank in 1987, and has been working in the Mexico, Mo., area.

He previously worked with Mercantile Bank of Salisbury, Mo., as an agriculture loan officer and at Farmers Home Administration in Jefferson City.

Before moving to Cape Girardeau, Hopkins was a volunteer with the Mexico Area United Way and March of Dimes WalkAmerica. He was a member of the Mexico Kiwanis Club. In 1989, he received the Mexico Jaycees Distinguished Service Award.

He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a degree in agriculture economy.

Tony Miller has been promoted to director at KFVS12.

Miller, who was previously commercial producer and photographer, will direct the station's "Breakfast Show."

Two other promotions were announced this week: Linda Job was promoted to commercial producer and photographer and Darren Schlitt was promoted to character generator operation.

Miller, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in mass communications, started with KFVS in May 1989 as a production assistant. He was promoted to commercial producer and photographer in March 1991. Prior to joining KFVS, he worked as a production assistant with Ron Duff Video Services.

He and his wife, Susan, reside in Cape Girardeau.

Job has worked as a production assistant at KFVS since 1987, operating the character generator and audio. She started at the station in June 1986.

Job is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State with a degree in mass communications. She resides in Cape Girardeau.

Schlitt's new responsibilities include operating the character generator for "Heartland News." He started at KFVS in June 1991. He has previous experience as a videographer with Red Letter communications and as a graphic artist at the Show Me Center.

He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State with a degree in mass communications. He resides in Cape Girardeau.
