Boatmen's Bank has announced the addition of Kenneth L. Hayden, senior vice president, to the commercial loan department of the bank, and the promotion of Michele R. Tomlinson to assistant vice president, manager of consumer lending.

Hayden's new responsibilities will include both large and small commercial credits and commercial real-estate loans. He previously managed Boatmen's consumer loan department.

Hayden joined Boatmen's in 1989 with more than 30 years of financial services experience. He was previously with Colonial Federal Savings and Loan 20 years and with First Federal Savings and Loan 10 years.

Hayden, a native of Perryville, is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He served in the Navy. He resides in Cape Girardeau.

Tomlinson, in her new position, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of consumer lending, which includes direct and indirect auto loans, home improvement and home equity loans, and all types of personal loans.

Tomlinson joined Boatmen's in 1981 as an agriculture loan associate. She most recently served as consumer loan officer. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and is a graduate of several American Institute of Banking courses.

Tomlinson, her husband, Lance, and daughter reside in Cape Girardeau.
