Buckets of Hardee's fried chicken sold during the week of June 15 in Southeast Missouri, helped the Salvation Army's Summer Camp Program for needy families.
For every bucket of chicken sold at 12 Hardee's restaurants, one dollar was donated to the charity. The promotion raised $3,670.
The donation will send needy families from Southeast Missouri to summer camp. The Salvation Army camp is located off Interstate 44 near Burton, Mo.
The introduction of Hardee's fried chicken in Southeast Missouri has proven a boost to the local economy, company officials say.
