The Procter and Gamble Paper Products Co. was pleased to contribute $1,500 to the Jackson Park Foundation and the Jackson Heritage Association. The $1,000 that went to the Park Foundation will be used to purchase playground equipment designed for use by handicapped children which will located at Brookside Park and to purchase trees for planting in the spectator areas of the Women's and Girl's Softball Fields 3 and 4 which are located to the south of the municipal swimming pool...

The Procter and Gamble Paper Products Co. was pleased to contribute $1,500 to the Jackson Park Foundation and the Jackson Heritage Association.

The $1,000 that went to the Park Foundation will be used to purchase playground equipment designed for use by handicapped children which will located at Brookside Park and to purchase trees for planting in the spectator areas of the Women's and Girl's Softball Fields 3 and 4 which are located to the south of the municipal swimming pool.

Marti Strickland, public affairs leader at the local Procter & Gamble manufacturing facility, presented the check to Grace Wille, a member of the Jackson Park Board and John Sander, chairperson of the Jackson Park Board.

Dorothy Palisch, president of the Jackson Heritage Association, accepted the $500 contribution from Procter & Gamble.

These funds were presented by Larry Stahlman, public affairs manager at the Cape Girardeau plant.

The money will be used to refurbish a storage room at the Oliver House. The additional display will be used to showcase pictures and artifacts of Jackson's history.
