Donut Drive-In, 1617 Independence, was closed by the Cape Girardeau County Health Department for several hours Thursday.
Responding to a complaint, department inspectors found that a sewer had backed up at Donut Drive-In, and they ordered the business closed until the problem was resolved and the area disinfected, sanitation department records said.
The sanitizing was completed by 5:50 p.m. Thursday, a health department report stated.
