ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The priest at a Roman Catholic parish in a long-running dispute with the St. Louis archdiocese will propose a plan of reconciliation at a meeting next week.

The Rev. Marek Bozek does not want to release details, but has also asked his supporters to pray outside archdiocesan headquarters during the meeting. He says he'll provide more details then.

Archbishop Raymond Burke recently wrote to Bozek, saying he has started the process of stripping Bozek of his clerical status.

Bozek is pastor of St. Stanislaus church, which has fought with the archdiocese over control of its assets for years. Bozek also participated in an ordination ceremony of two Catholic women last year, though the Vatican does not permit female priests.
