WARDELL, Mo. -- A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 12 for a man charged in a weekend stabbing.
Lyndell Butler was arraigned Monday on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Butler posted a $25,000 bond and was released from custody, according to Missouri Case.net.
On Saturday, authorities were notified of the stabbing of Ronnie Studie at a residence on County Highway 255.
While Pemiscot County deputies were en route they were advised Butler had left the residence. They were given a description of his vehicle, which was found sitting along a road two miles west of the residence.
Deputies found Butler and took him into custody without incident, according to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell.
At the house, Studie told officers there had been a physical altercation between him and Butler.
Studie was taken to a hospital for treatment.
