Poplar Bluff venue to host forum for governor candidates

A candidate forum featuring the six candidates running for governor has been organized by the Butler County Republicans in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Catherine Hanaway, Randy Asbury, Eric Greitens, Peter Kinder, Bob Dixon and John Brunner have committed to the event.

Missouri House Speaker Todd Richardson, state Sen. Doug Libla and state Rep. Steve Cookson will host it. Poplar Bluff High School government teacher Mitchell Davis will moderate the forum.

The forum begins at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and will be at the Aad Grotto, 3102 Kennedy Lane in Poplar Bluff. Dinner will be included, and the tickets are $25 each.
