POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Police were investigating after shots were reportedly fired Wednesday morning into a home and vehicle, the Daily American Republic reported. Poplar Bluff police officers responded about 12:45 a.m. to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 1000 block of Garfield Street, according to chief Danny Whiteley. "After we arrived on the scene, we discovered the house had a bullet hole in it ... [the bullet] traveled into the residence and evidently hit a fish tank," Whiteley said. "A vehicle sitting in front of the house also had a bullet hole in it." No injuries were reported, he said.
