Southeast Missouri State University will dedicate its Otto and Della Seabaugh Polytechnic Building on Saturday at 10 a.m.
A robot, part of the high-tech manufacturing equipment in the School of Polytechnic Studies, is scheduled to cut a ribbon at the dedication ceremony.
U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, U.S. Sen. Christopher Bond and Missouri's commissioner of higher education, Dr. Kala Stroup, are scheduled to attend the event.
Following the dedication, the nearly $9 million facility will be open for public tours. Industrial lab demonstrations will be given, school officials said.
The 60,000-square-foot building is on the north end of the campus, adjacent to the science buildings.
