Witnesses described the assailants as being eight teens, Glueck said.

One of the individuals picked up a metal chair and swung it, striking the cashier, and another began beating the victim with trash cans, Glueck said. They seized a small amount of cash from the register and fled the club, Glueck said.

The victim suffered a large laceration to the head and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Glueck said. Police combed the neighborhood and located Bell, but did not recover the money taken from the cash register, Glueck said.
