A knife-wielding thief with missing teeth stole an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday night from a Cape Girardeau gas station. Amerimart, 855 N. Kingshighway, was robbed at about 7:45 p.m., according to police officer Freddie Hill. A man in his late 20s to early 30s asked the clerk for change. When the cash drawer was opened, the man took out a knife and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer, Hill said. The suspect fled on foot and was described as having three front teeth missing. No one was in custody as of Tuesday evening, but surveillance video was being reviewed, according to Hill. No one was injured.
