MINER, Mo. -- Police are searching for a man who fled on foot after a vehicle pursuit that ended late Wednesday in Bertrand, Missouri.
About 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer from the Miner Police Department was patrolling near David Lane and noticed a dually truck pulling a box-style trailer, according to a news release from Miner Police Chief Chris Griggs.
The officer recognized the trailer and tried to stop the vehicle to investigate, but the vehicle sped away.
The police pursuit went north on David Lane, then east on U.S. 62. Officers pursued the vehicle into Bertrand, and it stopped. The driver fled on foot.
"The driver of the vehicle was not located, and we continue to investigate," Griggs said.
The truck was reported stolen from Charleston, Missouri, and the trailer was returned to the owners who live on David Lane.
