ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis man is facing charges for allegedly arranging a meeting through Facebook with a grade school friend -- then robbing the woman and her boyfriend.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 20-year-old Joseph Kovich is charged with two counts each of kidnapping, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. He is jailed on $150,000 cash-only bond and does not yet have an attorney.
Police say Kovich contacted the woman through Facebook to seek if she wanted to buy a TV. They met Monday night.
Kovich alleged got into their car, pointed a gun at the boyfriend's head and ordered him to drive to an ATM to withdraw cash. Later, they drove to the woman's apartment and Kovich allegedly ordered her to get more money.
No one was hurt.
