Police investigating fatal shooting in Kennett, Mo.

KENNETT, Mo. -- The Kennett Police Department, along with the Dunklin County Major Case Squad and the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department, is investigating a homicide in Kennett.

According to the Kennett Police department, at 11:47 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Astrachan Street to investigate a report of someone being shot.

Upon arrival, officers found the body of a 25-year-old man who had been shot inside a vehicle.

Officers secured the scene and the Dunklin County Major Case Squad was activated.
