A housemate, Patricia Landrum, 53, has been charged with abandoning a corpse. She's free on $5,000 bond.

An autopsy was done Thursday, though investigators said toxicology results won't be known for several weeks.

Sheriff Bob Davis said Maher apparently died several months ago.
