Cape Girardeau police officers arrested a Perryville, Missouri, man who fled on foot after hitting a wall and overturning his vehicle about 8 p.m. Monday near Gordonville and Silver Spring roads, police said.

The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued a summons to Jamond M. Rush, 23, for operating a motor vehicle while revoked, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a crash.

Officers found Rush shortly after arriving on the scene.

Rush was taken to a hospital by ambulance to treat injuries that were not life-threatening, Cape Girardeau public-information officer Richard McCall wrote in an email.
