PLANNING AND ZONING REGULATIONS ON WEB SITE

The proposed planning and zoning regulations for Cape Girardeau County can be read on the Southeast Missourian's Web site at www.semissourian.com/ news.

The documents on the Web site include the proposed master plan, subdivision and mobile home park regulations and zoning requirements.

A temporary planning commission developed the proposed regulations as part of an effort to implement planning and zoning in unincorporated areas of the county.

Voters on Nov. 7 will decide whether to authorize planning in the county. The Cape Girardeau County Commission has said it will implement planning and zoning regulations if voters approve the ballot measure. A simple majority is needed for passage.
