PIEDMONT MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT

PIEDMONT -- A Southeast Missouri man was killed Saturday when he was thrown from his vehicle.

Gary Lucks, 39, of Piedmont, died late Saturday night from injuries received in the accident. He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau where he died.

The accident happened at 9:45 p.m. about for miles east of Clubb in Wayne County on Highway 34. Lucks lost control of his vehicle, ran off the left side of the road, overcorrected and ran off the right side of the road. He again overcorrected and then ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned several times and Lucks was ejected, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
