From their plaques and nametags, we know these men are Robert Hemperley, Roland A. Fulenwider and Sen. Al Spradling. Can you tell us what the occasion was? Bob Priddy wrote: "The person on the right of the three-person group in today's paper is Senator Al Spradling Jr., whose son might be able to give you some clues. Or you might find a corresponding picture or a clipping in the Spradling Papers at Southeast Missouri  State University."

These youngsters, with hundreds of others, will trudge back to school for another year in a few days. The picture well carries out the spirit of the "Back to School" section of The Missourian.
