A piano trio composed of Southeast Missouri State University faculty members will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Old St. Vincent's Church.
Heidi Bergman, an instructor of violin and viola, and Sara Edgerton and James Sifferman, both assistant professors of music will play works by Beethoven, Grieg and Franck.
Berman will play the violin, Edgerton the cello and Sifferman the piano.
Bergman, a first-year instructor at the university, is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Yale University. She also did post-graduate work at the Vienna Academy of Music in Austria.
Sifferman, who has a doctorate in musical arts from the University of Texas-Austin and a master's degree from the Julliard School of Music, has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Japan.
In 1990, he released the CD "Sifferman Live Vol. 1: Piano Music of Franz Liszt."
Edgerton, the director of the Southeast Missouri State University Orchestra, holds doctorate and master's degrees from Cornell University, and a bachelor's degree from the Eastman School of Music.
She has studied cello and chamber music in London and at Oxford University, and has performed throughout the U.S., England, Germany and Italy.
