A series of photography workshops is being presented in Cape Girardeau for the first time by local photographer/writer Martha McBride. The six sessions are geared for people with amateur through professional experience.
The series starts July 27, and will be presented at the Victorian Inn, Route K and Interstate 55.
The series includes 35 mm single lens reflex camera July 27; film lenses and filters Aug. 3; lights and lighting Aug. 10; photographic composition Aug. 24; fabulous fall color Sept. 7; and individual evaluation Sept. 14. Participants may take one, several or all the courses.
"Someone not familiar with 35 mm photography should take the first course," McBride recommended. The one on composition is for all skill levels and ones on film and lenses, lighting and fall color are for intermediate and advanced levels.
Each class is limited to 25 individuals. Advance registration is required, which may be done by contacting McBride at 334-6315 or writing to 2551 Peach Tree, Cape Girardeau.
McBride has presented workshops previously on various subjects. She receNtly returned from a workshop she presented in Hannibal on teaching writers how to utilize photography. She teaches photography in the Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School and holds a master of arts in instructional media. McBride is under contract with several stock photo agencies.
