Procter & Gamble employees painted the inside of the Cape Girardeau Boys and Girls Club on Broadway as part of their monthly team-building exercise.
The work on Monday provided a big boost for the club, Boys and Girls Club officials said.
Today, six Target employees will volunteer with the American Red Cross in Cape Girardeau, painting those offices as part of Operation United Way, Target's nationwide volunteerism effort.
Procter & Gamble and Target contacted the United Way to coordinate their volunteer activities.
The Area Wide United Way also coordinates volunteer activities through the annual Days of Caring, scheduled for Sept. 21 and 22.
There are numerous projects available in Jackson, Cape Girardeau and Scott City.
For more information on such projects, call the United Way at 334-9634.
