On Dec. 31, officers went to his home and served him with an ex parte order of protection. He was told that he must not possess any guns after service of the order. He moved the guns from his bedroom to his grandmother's bedroom.

On Jan. 6, the guns were removed by police. Later Galeski filled out a form and requested their return. He listed himself as the owner.

Galeski was previously convicted in 2002 of felony distribution of marijuana.
