Perryville man injured in accident

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A Perryville man suffered moderate injuries in a two-car accident Monday in Perry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Gregory W. Meyer, 18, was taken by ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital. The driver of the other car, William L. Wehmeier, 64, of St. Peters, Mo., was uninjured.

The accident occurred at 10:14 a.m. when Meyer struck the rear of Wehmeier's car. Meyer and Wehmeier were both traveling southbound on U.S. 61.

Meyer was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
