Perryville man dies in Thursday evening crash

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. - An accident on Route ZZ proved fatal for one Perryville, Mo., man Thursday night.

Donald E. Blair, 41, was traveling eastbound on the roadway when when his 1997 Dodge lost control as it was crossing a bridge and landed in a ditch .7 miles west of Route BB, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Dodge overturned multiple times and Blair was ejected.

Blair was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where he was pronounced dead at 10:29 p.m. The crash marked the 16th traffic fatality for Troop E of the highway patrol in 2009.
